On 25 May 2023, La Città dell’Altra Economia in Rome hosted the presentation of the results of the project ‘Coming of Age. Mentoring as a new model of community-based inclusion for young migrants’, an opportunity to promote the knowledge of mentoring as a tool to support the social inclusion of young migrants who arrived in Italy as minors and without reference adults.
In partnership with Refugees Welcome Italia, the Mentoring programme presented the final report of the project with the aim of promoting the sharing of national and European experiences and good practices, gaining more knowledge of the needs and requirements of young migrants and young adults and the mechanisms of civil society involvement.
The document, combining scientific rigour and qualitative-narrative elements, speaks to different target groups: Third Sector organisations, practitioners and scholars, social workers and service officials.
The initiative was an opportunity to animate dialogue in the community of stakeholders and to expand the network of actors in the field of inclusion for young people with a migration background.
